Seven Days In New York Trailer


Seven Days In New York is a feature documentary that follows the lives of seven charismatic New Yorkers in their daily routines. The film mirrors the days of the week with each subject chronicled on a separate day. Shot in an observational, cinema verité style, with an original jazz score, the film records the subjects of the film—unique personalities who capture the New York of past and present: Sherwood, New York’s finest tour guide since 1990; Johan, Swedish transplant and artist-apprentice since 1990; Monae, Hair Queen of Harlem since 1983; Sara and Everardo, incorporating art and architecture into the city’s landscape since 1987; Billy, mixing drinks and patrons since 1999; Carline, the mother of SoHo children's couture since 1995; and Hal, the Bicycle Doc since 1978. These intimate portraits depict issues of aging, identity, gentrification, and urban planning in a modern day New York City—with each subject bringing a signature blend of perseverance, wit, and grit. "Seven Days In New York" is a Subjective Inventory Films production. Directed by Fredgy Noël, music by Matthew Block.

WorldFest Houston International Independent Film Festival, founded in 1961, is the oldest independent film festival in the world, and the 3rd oldest film festival in North America. WorldFest gave very first honors to Spielberg, Lucas, Ang Lee, Ridley Scott, the Coen Brothers, John Lee Hancock, David Lynch, Randall Kleiser, and Brian de Palma, among others! 

"Milking It" Is An Official Selection Of The 2015 Blow-Up Chicago International Art House Film Festival!

"The 2015 Blow-Up Chicago International Art House Film Festival pursues new ways to introduce more people to the most original and authentic storytelling. We would like to see films made primarily for aesthetic and philosophical reasons; ideas that have the power to delight and entertain, push creative boundaries, spark new levels of empathy and understanding, and even lead to social change. The Festival was named after the Michelangelo Antonioni's iconic film "Blow-Up"."

We are so thrilled to have "Milking It" be an official selection of this festival.

Milking It in NYC PictureStart Film Festival!

Founded in 2002, NYC PictureStart Film Festival showcases films from emerging talent as well as those established in the industry. Out of hundreds of submissions, Milking It was chosen to be featured in this year's competition. We are so honored to be in this festival and excited to screen in NYC!

Milking It screens Sunday May 31st at Arlene's Grocery. We'll keep you posted on time and additional info. We hope to see you there!

In its 34th year of running, this festival is known for spotlighting "experimental, offbeat, and influential cinema." 24 films were selected to be part of the 2015 New Jersey International Film Festival Competition from 383 entries. We're so honored to have Milking It be one of them.
